Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful founder Carolyn Crayton gave opening remarks to the annual Keep Georgia Beautiful award luncheon crowd. Traditionally held in Atlanta, KGB moved the event to Macon honoring Carolyn and KMBB on the 40th anniversary of the organization and of KMBB’s being one of three first beautification commissions in the nation for Keep America Beautiful. Macon-Bibb came away with two top honors. The Springdale School Eagle Recyclers Club for a novel school recycling program with KMBB getting a KGB Affiliates honor for year round programs carried out including the annual tree planting program at Middle Georgia State University.
