Bring One for the Chipper – Is a Christmas Tree recycling program the first Saturday in January. Give a tree a second life as compost, mulch, or fish habitat by bringing your undecorated tree to a designated location and receive a free seedling and a bag of mulch.

Arbor Day – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful participates in Georgia Arbor Day on the third Friday in February. National Arbor Day is the third Friday in April, when it is too warm at that time of the year to plant trees. Arbor Day is set aside for schools, civic clubs and other organizations, as well as individuals, to reflect on the importance of trees in our state and across nation.

Great American Clean-up – Every year, Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful challenges Maconites to get outside and make their town beautiful!

Adopt-A-Spots – Groups are challenged to clean-up their adopted areas during the Great American Clean-Up.

Cherry Blossom Festival – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful sells the Yoshino Cherry Trees which is official tree of the festival at Central City Park and the Mulberry Arts and Craft Festival.

Earth Day – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful partners with Macon-Bibb Parks and Beautification to host an Earth mini festival at Tattnall Square Park. At this event you can purchase items from local farmers and be educated by numerous environmental educators and exhibitors. There are many activities for children.

Annual Awards Recognition Luncheon

Litter Index – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful participates in the Keep American Beautiful Community Appearance Index which a step-by-step method for assessing current litter conditions. Results are used to drive litter issues in our community.

National Planting Day – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful celebrates by planting a native plants and trees in our community.

Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful partners with Macon Water Authority and YKK to clean up the Ocmulgee River. This annual event is the largest single volunteer effort to beautify Georgia’s water resources.

America Recycles Day – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful participates in this nationally recognized day dedicated promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. KMBBC will plan an event the residents can participates in to promote recycling.

Museum of Arts & Sciences Festival of Trees – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful partners with a local elementary school to design a Christmas tree with ornaments made from plastic Coca-Cola bottles and recycled candy wrappers.
